Kia ora te whanau,
It is time for our Annual General Meeting and we have many things to discuss and decide.
We strongly encourage everyone to attend the AGM as voting on all the items below will be completed online at the time of the meeting.
The zoom room will be open from 6:45pm so we can start the meeting promptly at 7pm.

2. Election of Officers, Committee
The offices of Chair, Deputy Chair, Secretary and Treasurer are up for renewal. Nominations can be taken in the meeting if you were too late to put one in.
We are also looking for people that are passionate and can inject energy and skill into our committee of 20.
Committee members are expected to actively engage in weekly meetings and contribute to the running of the Society.
General Meeting Agenda Items:
1. Changes to the Constitution
The Committee is recommending minor changes to the constitution regarding reducing our quorum size and adding a purpose to allow the Society to advocate for members in employment matters.

Last week Sharyn gave a written response to J. Cooke’s ruling. You should already have a copy of Cooke’s ruling. We encourage you to read both documents to be fully informed ahead of our AGM as we will be voting on whether to appeal or not.
3. Financial members
A recommendation will be discussed that the Society begins requiring an annual subscription from members. The amount is still to be discussed.
